ABOUT US
Meray Design
Ranging from Building Design, Interior Design, Renovation and Design-Build, Space Planning, Landscape Design and Site Supervision, Meray Design is driven with passion by an Australian-Lebanese designer Mireille Bechara.
Meray Design was founded in 2010 and previously known as M. A. Architecture and Design, and has since undertaken over 40 architectural and interior design projects worth around $45,000,000 in various regions.
While it offers plural services, the design boutique has forged for itself a reputation for developing high-end residences, that soon linked its founder’s name to luxury developments, such as the famed private mansion in a rocky mountain of Lebanon, known as Al Qasr (www.mansionoflebanon.com), the residences of Mr. J. Karam in Kfarhbab and Faraya, and the Palace Residence to name just a few.
Much of the firm’s continued success can be attributed to Mireille’s progressive approach, attention to details, solid reputation and dedicated customer service that she leads herself.
The rapid success of Meray Design is also a result of strong word of mouth and referrals by satisfied customers who range from private mansion owners, luxury villas or house proprietors to medium and large corporations.
As head of the firm, Mireille personally supervises the whole process from the initial concept to the construction drawings while liaising with various trades at the execution stage in order to ensure that the final project is developed according to her clients’ expectations and conforming to regulatory requirements.
THE FOUNDER
Mireille Azzi Bechara
Bringing over 18 years of experience in architecture, interior design, facilities and project management from three different markets, Mireille Azzi is an Australian-Lebanese Architect and Interior Designer, who has enriched her expertise by working in Australia, the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) and Lebanon, across different verticals in the design and development world.
Mireille graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering at Notre Dame University in the year 2000 and soon moved to Sydney, Australia where she started her professional career in Architecture. In 2005, during the Gulf golden days, Mireille decided to move with her family to the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) where she took her first job there as a Senior Project Architect at the American University of Sharjah (AUS), managing the Design Department and handling the campus’s architecture and interior design requirements.
Her success soon led her to avail a new opportunity in TECOM Investment at the Dubai Knowledge Village as Campus Manager, but her passion for design called her to move to Amana Scratch where she managed the
department of Inerior Design and Fit-Out.
In 2010, her love and attachment to her mother country, Lebanon, led her to move back and to establish her own firm: MA Architecture and Design, where soon the design boutique has forged for itself a reputation for developing high-end residences, that soon linked its name to luxury developments.
Mireille’s reputation in a fiercely competitive and overcrowded market has afforded her the privilege of receiving industry awards such as Byblorama’s Honoring Award in 2015. Mireille is a member of the Lebanese Order of Engineers and Architects and is currently under the process of getting the Australian Accreditation and registration of Architecture in NSW in the Architect’s registration Board, NSW.
