Lebanese Stone House Extension

Lebanese Modern Extension Stone and Wood

About the Project

Sfeir Residence, is a traditionally built Lebanese stone house, since more than 80 years.

It featured the traditional Lebanese architecture with the Three-Arcades Elevation, high ceiling, with the Red Hip roof and the stone vaulted basement.

Further to a request from the house owners for adding 2 additional floors for 2 additional private apartments, we at MA Architecture and Design, have introduced contemporary elements, made of wood, aged stones and polished stones, while combining harmonically  the timeless authenticity and the elegance and transparency of the contemporary design. The main modern wooden element of the front elevation, forms in a discrete manner, an arcade of the size of the building, when married with a curved stone structure.

The entrance of the building features a panoramic elevator, and a structural and frameless glass front for the staircase tower that uplifted the back side of the building in a chic yet up-to-date manner.
